Job Fair in the Valky Community: Support for Job Seekers and IDPs
The Mobile Employment Center continues to expand its reach, hosting a job fair in the village of Kovyahy, Valky Community, Bohodukhiv District.
Visitors had the opportunity to explore current job openings, learn about employment services, start-up support, voucher-funded training opportunities, and more.
Local employers, including Kov’yahivske LLC, Miasnova Meat Processing Plant, Interfact Plus, and Rent Company Group, offered positions such as repair technician, site electrician, tractor driver, poultry farmer, seamstress, and production supervisor.
School-aged youth also participated in a career guidance workshop, “A Step Towards Self-Determination,” where specialists discussed in-demand professions and labor market trends.
During the event, Oleksandr Kotukov, Director of the Kharkiv Regional Employment Center, visited a shelter for internally displaced persons (IDPs) located at the “Center for Tourism, Local History, and Excursions,” currently housing 65 people. Three unemployed residents work there monthly on community benefit projects. In discussions with the center’s director, Anastasiia Khalymon, Kotukov introduced modern employment services.
Valky Mayor Valerii Skrypnychenko expressed gratitude for the employment service’s collaboration, highlighting the importance of such initiatives for residents, particularly IDPs and youth.
This year, the Kharkiv Regional Employment Service has facilitated microgrants for 18 residents of the Valky Community, totaling over UAH 5 million, leading to the creation of 25 new jobs. Additionally, 48 individuals, including five from Kovyahy, have undergone skill enhancement or retraining through vouchers. Since the beginning of the year, 66 residents have participated in community service jobs, with 56 engaged in socially beneficial work.
The Mobile Employment Center remains committed to providing essential support and resources to those in need.
