Mobile Employment Center in Merefa: consultations, job vacancies, and new opportunities for community residents
As part of efforts to improve access to state employment services for residents of the region, the Kharkiv Regional Employment Service organized another outreach event. This time, the mobile employment center operated in the city of Merefa, Kharkiv district.
During the event, employment service specialists provided citizens with individual consultations on employment, temporary jobs, professional training, starting and developing their own business. Visitors were also introduced to training opportunities for women, offering access to 31 professions traditionally considered “male.”
The event also included a job fair where the following employers presented their offers: Merefa Central District Hospital, “Customer Service” enterprise, LLC “VIST-2013,” “ECO-OVOCHI,” “Zhytnytsia Slobozhanshchyny,” “Trade Up Metal,” “MK RIAL,” “OSK-TECHNOLOGY,” KP “Vodokanal,” Kharkiv land transport enterprises, Kharkiv Vocational College, and the NGO “Volunteers’ Union ‘Angel.’”
The vacancies generated significant interest among visitors. Job seekers actively engaged in individual consultations, asking detailed questions about candidate requirements, working conditions, salaries, career growth opportunities, and social guarantees.
An important outcome of the event was the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Kharkiv Regional Employment Center and the Merefa City Council, providing for joint efforts in developing local employment.
As part of the working visit, Director of the Kharkiv Regional Employment Center Oleksandr Kotukov also visited small business representatives participating in the “Own Business” entrepreneurship support program and held a meeting with the management of the “Rial” meat processing plant. The discussions covered cooperation between the employment service and employers, organization of professional training for workers, workplace arrangements for people with disabilities, and other support programs.
“Such outreach events by the mobile employment center are extremely important because they allow us to be closer to people. We not only provide consultations and present vacancies, but also help communities gain access to all the opportunities offered by the employment service. This is another step towards making the labor market more open, flexible, and responsive to the needs of both job seekers and employers,” said Oleksandr Kotukov.
