The Director of the Kharkiv Regional Employment Center, Denys Oliinyk, made a working visit to the city of Izyum, which is located very close to the front line.
During a meeting with the head of the City Military Administration, Serhii Fedchenko, as well as local entrepreneurs, employers, and representatives of communal services, practical issues were discussed — how the employment service can be most useful to the community today.
During the discussion, participants were informed about existing programs supporting employers and business development. In particular, they discussed grant opportunities — “Vlasna Sprava” (Own Business), processing grants, as well as a new support program for businesses affected by the war — “Tochka Opory” (“Point of Support”). All issues were examined in detail, with practical examples.
Special attention was given to training and upskilling opportunities, including through vocational education centers of the State Employment Service, among them the Kharkiv Center for Vocational Education of the State Employment Service.
They also discussed the program for creating accessible workplaces for people with disabilities as an important step toward ensuring equal opportunities and decent working conditions.
The issue of organizing socially useful work is currently especially relevant for communities in the Izyum district. The parties agreed to strengthen this work, expand its directions, and involve more people, as it concerns both employment and community recovery.
The head of the regional employment service also discussed a number of important issues with the head of the Izyum District Military Administration, Stepan Maselskyi, focusing on further coordination and joint actions.
The meeting was also attended by the head of the Kuniivka Rural Military Administration, Serhii Movchan, and the secretary of the Oskil Rural Council, Svitlana Liaschenko.
“We come to communities not just with information — we come with solutions. It is important that every entrepreneur and every person understands: support exists, and it can be used today,” said Denys Oliinyk.
Since the beginning of 2026, 410 residents of the Izyum, Oskil, and Kuniivka communities have used employment service services. More than 100 people have been employed in permanent jobs. Over 20 people have completed professional training. Sixty-six people joined public and socially useful works.
Fifty-nine employers cooperated with the employment service, offering 171 vacancies, 100 of which have already been filled. Since the start of the “Vlasna Sprava” program, 19 entrepreneurs have received microgrants, 18 of them in the Izyum community.
