Training for employees of the Kharkiv Regional Employment Service: exchange of experience and new ideas for development
A training session for employees of the regional employment service took place at the Kharkiv Regional Employment Center. The participants were divided into five teams, each receiving a separate task to prepare a presentation.
The topics covered by the groups included key areas of the employment service’s activities:
- ways to engage unemployed citizens in vocational training;
- establishing effective cooperation with veterans to support their integration into civilian life;
- ensuring collaboration between every employer in the region and the employment service;
- increasing employment rates;
- providing employers with compensation for hiring registered unemployed persons.
The teams had 30 minutes to prepare their presentations, after which representatives from each team presented their ideas and proposals within five minutes.
During the discussion, interesting and practical initiatives were voiced regarding improving cooperation with employers, expanding opportunities for vocational training, supporting male and female veterans, and increasing the efficiency of citizens’ employment.
One of the teams presented proposals for improving the regulation on compensating employers for hiring unemployed individuals.
Among the most notable ideas were the creation of a position for a veteran affairs specialist within the regional employment service and presenting success stories of employers’ cooperation with the employment service.
The jury selected the winners of the training. First place went to the team that presented meaningful and relevant proposals on working with veterans and supporting their integration into civilian life. Second place was awarded to the team that suggested practical recommendations for improving the compensation mechanism for employers who hire registered unemployed persons.
The Director of the Kharkiv Regional Employment Center, Oleksandr Kotukov, presented the winners with gifts — branded notebooks from the State Employment Service — and emphasized that all the proposals voiced during the training would be reviewed and taken into account in the further work of the regional employment service.
