🍞 On World Bread Day (16.10.25), which has been celebrated annually since 2006 at the initiative of the International Union of Bakers and Pastry Chefs, we RECEIVED baked goods from the 9th-grade students of the “Lyubotyn Art Lyceum ‘Dyvosvit'” of the Kharkiv Regional Council for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
🌾 Bread is not just food; it is a symbol of life, abundance, and generosity. Since ancient times, people have treated bread with respect, knowing how much labor and love is invested in every loaf. Ukrainians understand the value of bread.
💛 THANK YOU to all the artisans and educators, especially Valentyna Ivanchenko of the “Dyvosvit” Lyceum, for a wonderful meeting. I always accept invitations with joy, as if visiting my grandmother, especially to the kitchen, where it smells of love and the energy of life. An incredible, educational master class. Children should know not only the word “Palyanytsya” but its essence — the foundation of Ukrainian baking, a symbol of life!
📦 The packed boxes of baked goods will be sent to two brigades on two critical fronts.
📖 The image of bread in Ukrainian poetry is multifaceted and symbolic. It represents life, death, resurrection, strength, unity, and spirituality. Bread is not just food; it is part of Ukrainian identity, long celebrated in folk songs, tales, and poetry.
🌻
I have revered bread since childhood,
It holds the strength and labor of ages,
As if the country itself was born
In those endless fields of golden ears.
Do you remember, in childhood,
That familiar smell from the oven?
Like a family talisman,
Grandmother’s bread and warm rolls became sacred.
Today it is ordinary for us
To buy bread in an instant,
But in this seemingly simple food
Lies ancient glory and history.
Our ancestors, who labored tirelessly,
Poured their soul and strength into life,
Working devotedly in the fields,
Never abandoning faith in the future.
In harsh years called famine,
Countless people perished,
And a single baked loaf
Helped the family fight against death.
Let us honor bread on this clear day
And remember these simple words:
“If you honor bread – you honor Ukraine,
And all the good that it has given you.”
💫 Let us preserve bread, value it, and share it gratefully with loved ones.
Glory to the hands of the bread-maker!
Glory and praise to the hands of bakers!
🌾 Glory to Ukraine, to its endless wheat fields under the clear blue sky, like our flag!!!
