The team of the NGO “Veterans’ Wives” once again became co-organizers of the V International Scientific and Practical Online Conference “Social Aspects of Military-Professional Activities in the Security and Defense Sector: Contemporary Challenges,” held by the National Academy of the National Guard of Ukraine. The goal of the conference was to discuss the social issues, the state, and the prospects of social development of Ukraine’s security and defense sector in light of changes in society, to search for ways to solve them, to implement the best international and domestic practices, to improve social management and military-social work, to enhance the quality of social and humanitarian training of military personnel, and to improve state social standards and guarantees for military personnel and their families.
This year, our team once again participated in the important discussion on social support for military personnel and their families. During the conference, Olga Lekhan shared the experience of implementing the Ministry of Social Policy’s pilot project on social support for military personnel and their families in the Armed Forces of Ukraine according to Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 1050.
We are confident that the exchange of experience, scientific approach, and joint work from various sectors will help build an effective support system for military personnel and their families in Ukraine. We thank the organizers, participants, and everyone who contributed to this important initiative!
