Today was filled with meaningful meetings and exchange of experiences to support ATO veterans in the process of reintegration. The NGO “Wives of Veterans” and the Kharkiv regional public organization “Union of ATO Veterans” visited the Kolomatsk settlement territorial community in order to study the needs and problems of veterans, as well as their family members in this area.
During the meeting with community representatives, we received an important insight into the current state of affairs in the field of reintegration. Among the main problems identified are a lack of available programs and support for veterans in their search for employment, insufficient provision of housing, and a lack of opportunities for professional and personal development.
An important aspect of our meeting was also emphasizing the need for psychological support for female veterans and their families. For this purpose, we considered the possibility of organizing group and individual consultations with professional psychologists and social workers.
The meeting with the representatives of the Kolomatsk OTG was an important step in the joint effort to ensure the full integration of veterans into the community. We are confident that only by working together can we create a safe and supportive environment for those who have courageously defended and are defending our country.
