We want to summarize the results of our trip to Germany.
The road was difficult, but the emotions and warmth with which the representatives of the Rasom organization greeted us covered all 48 hours on the road. Days were written in minutes. We visited a medical facility, saw how medical care is provided and social rehabilitation is carried out for German citizens.
They met with representatives of international organizations. We met with Ukrainians who were forced to leave Ukraine.
We met with Ukrainians who have been living in Germany for many years and are now helping our citizens with all their might. At every meeting, we constantly talked about the trouble that came to our land, about how we live in war conditions. We talked about the needs of our society, about how veterans return home and what problems they face. We talked about the need to create social veteran centers, on the basis of which help will be provided in solving social issues and where the families of our veterans will feel comfortable and comfortable in the circle of people like them. Where will be organized and held to come in for our children.
We gained valuable experience by being present during the work processes of our partners – we saw how aid for Ukraine is collected and what efforts are being made for this. This experience is useful for our team.
We sincerely thank our compatriots from Germany for appreciating Ukrainian traditions and doing everything to win, for believing in us. It is at such moments that we feel the power of joint action and certainty in achieving the set goals. Our meetings not only opened up new prospects for cooperation, but also inspired us to take more active actions in solving social and humanitarian issues of Ukrainian society, in particular, the veteran community.
We are obliged to use the acquired experience to improve the living conditions of Ukrainians and promote their social inclusion.
In conclusion, our working visit to Germany was extremely important and fruitful. The team of the NGO “Wives of Veterans” is grateful to our partners – the Rasom team for their support and understanding, as well as for the opportunity to share experiences and ideas. We return home with new knowledge and energy, ready for further efforts in building a strong, happy and successful Ukraine.
