First aid is the first thing that saves lives.
That’s why the team of the NGO “Wives of Veterans,” together with professional tactical medicine instructors from the 43rd Separate Mechanized Brigade, organized an important practical event for veterans’ families in Kharkiv.
We taught:
• how to stop bleeding with a tourniquet or improvised means;
• how to act in case of wounds and loss of consciousness;
• how to save lives in the first minutes before the ambulance arrives.
In wartime, such knowledge is not just useful — it is essential.
We thank the military medics for their professionalism, clear communication, and the calm they instill while teaching people how to save others.
We believe this event is not the last. Because a strong community is not only about support — it’s also about the skills that help people survive.
