Saltivka. A frosty but sunny Sunday morning. The streets are still half-empty, but in our cars, work is already in full swing – my girls and I are loading packages with humanitarian aid. Food sets, necessary medicines – everything that will help at least a little to ease the lives of those who are suffering the most from the war.
The first stop – Grandma Halyna, 82 years old, lives alone, almost never goes outside (We leave her a package with cereals, oil, canned goods, and medicines. We chatted a bit and lifted her spirits. Grandma is waiting for victory.
Next, we go to a veteran’s family, where the wife raises children on her own. “How are you holding up?” I ask. The answer is simple: “For the children and for him…”
Another stop – an IDP family from Kupiansk. And there were many such addresses. And in every home – its own story of pain, struggle, and hope. But the most valuable thing is the sense of support that we were all able to give to our people today.
A special thank you to the Rememberus.org foundation, Igor Korsunsky, Julia Preshman Korsunsky, and Oksana Bondar. Thanks to this organization and these people, we were able to provide such important help to Kharkiv residents. Your support is priceless to us today. Thank you for not forgetting those who are suffering the most right now.
Helping is about humanity. And as long as we have each other, as long as we do good together – we are unbreakable.
With support GO “Wives of Veterans”
