The team of the NGO “Veterans’ Wives” met with schoolchildren of Carl-Sohneschein school #46 from the city of Bergheim, who collected and handed over New Year’s boxes to our children.
We were very much expected, the children organized a meeting in the form of a press conference and involved schoolchildren – journalists. We were shown a presentation about the students’ activities in helping Ukrainians. Little journalists prepared questions for our team and asked them in turn. It seems like nothing out of the ordinary, but for us these are very important and touching questions. They were interested in everything related to our children: how the educational process is carried out, how they spend their free time, what hobbies they have… We, like adults, were asked about traditions, how we celebrate holidays, how we spend our day and free time…
The event lasted 2 hours, which we did not even notice as they flew by. As a thank you, we presented the collection of children’s poems “Dreams of Ukraine” to the children. We were also awaited by pleasant gifts and surprises made by the children themselves.
We sincerely thank the children and the school management for the warm welcome, we were very pleased to communicate with you and we continue further cooperation.
