Dual Isotherapy: Discover Yourself Through Your Partner’s Eyes
The NGO “Veterans’ Wives” organized a psychological training session titled “Dual Isotherapy: Discover Yourself Through Your Partner’s Eyes,” conducted by clinical psychologist Serhiy Usenko. This format aimed to help veterans and their families better understand their own emotions through creative exercises and learn to see themselves through the eyes of their closest person. Such an experience becomes an important step toward deeper mutual understanding in relationships, especially for families who have endured the hardships of war.
“When we try to see ourselves through our partner’s eyes, we gain a unique experience,” noted Serhiy Usenko. “It allows us not only to feel ourselves more deeply but also to better understand the needs of our loved one. This perspective helps restore trust and build relationships based on mutual support.”
For participants, the training became a space for open dialogue, self-reflection, and awareness of their role in the partnership. It provided an opportunity to view themselves and their relationships in a new light, discovering inner resources to support both themselves and their families. Such events foster a sense of community and remind us that even in the toughest times, there are always those ready to understand and support.
