On February 6, the “Made in Ukraine” offices were presented in Chuhuiv and Nova Vodolaha, operating within the branches of the Kharkiv Regional Employment Center. The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine Tetyana Berezhna, Director of the Department of Economy and International Relations of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Ivan Dudka, UNDP Project Manager in Ukraine Maksym Borda, and Project Manager of the “CSR Development” Center Kateryna Ludvyk. They became acquainted with the first results of the offices’ work, communicated with local entrepreneurs, and provided essential equipment to make the offices even more effective.
In total, six such offices operate in the Kharkiv region. In a short period, entrepreneurs have received almost 1,300 services here, including 139 services in the Chuhuiv and Nova Vodolaha offices. These offices provide information on state and regional support programs, offer training on opening or developing a business, assist with grant application submissions, and help with interactions with state institutions, banks, and other organizations.
Tetyana Berezhna emphasized the importance of small and medium-sized businesses for the country’s recovery: “We are grateful to our international partners for significant support for Ukrainian businesses and the development of ‘Made in Ukraine’ offices. Thanks to joint efforts, including UNDP’s involvement, there are already 80 regional offices operating in Ukraine, and by the end of 2025, their number is planned to increase to 101. We strive to ensure that people in the regions can receive the necessary information, consultations, and resources for starting and developing their own businesses in one place.”
The Director of the Kharkiv Regional Employment Center, Oleksandr Kotukov, drew attention to the unique opportunities for entrepreneurs in the region. “Kharkiv region is the only region in Ukraine where the maximum amount of the ‘Own Business’ microgrant is 500,000 UAH, which is twice as much as in other regions. This decision was made by the government in response to the requests of local entrepreneurs,” Kotukov noted.
The “Made in Ukraine” offices in Chuhuiv and Nova Vodolaha were equipped with the support of the UNDP Ukraine program in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, the State Employment Service, and the “CSR Development” Center within the project “Transformational Recovery for the Safety of People in Ukraine,” with financial support from the Government of Japan.
