On October 22, at our High Hub Youth Center of the Vysochanska Village Council, a psychological photo therapy session titled “Perfect Picture vs. Social Media Reality” took place.
Friends, we held an incredibly deep and meaningful event!
Together with the girls, we dove into the world where filters and perfect angles reign supreme — the world of social media.
We explored together how social networks distort reality. We talked about how the endless feed of “perfect success” and “flawless girls” makes us compare ourselves and feel pressured.
We discussed why we strive for unrealistic standards and how that affects our self-esteem and mood.
After that came a creative activity: Photo Collage!
The highlight of the event was the creation of our own art project — a photo collage titled “Instagram Image” vs. “Real Me.”
It was a very honest and brave step. The girls took their “glossy” photos — the ones they might post online — and placed them next to pictures that reflected their true emotions, unfiltered moments, or simply who they really are.
The main takeaway we made together: Likes ≠ Your Value!
Your value is your uniqueness, your thoughts, your genuine feelings, and your SINCERITY. No number of hearts can replace the feeling of inner harmony.
We thank every participant who attended the photo therapy session, was so open, and shared her story and doubts! Girls, remember: you are beautiful just the way you are, with all your “non-Instagram” moments!
At the end of the event, there was a prize drawing among the registered participants!
A soft toy — a plush heart — was won by Lita, and we warmly congratulate her!
